During the Fall of 2009, Amy and Kathleen assembled History Heard's inaugural advisory board. The council will give quarterly advice to help History Heard grow.
The 2010-2011 History Heard advisory board includes:
- Mr. Francisco Sánchez - Mr. Sánchez is an attorney who has served as an advisor to two White House administrations. He was recently confirmed as President Obama's Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade.
- Prof. Paul Freedman - Prof. Freedman is the chariman of the History Department at Yale University. He has authored several historical books including Out of the East: Spices and the Medieval Imagination.
- Prof. Gabrielle Spiegel - Prof. Spiegel is the chairwoman of the History Department at Johns Hopkins University and was the 2008-2009 president of the American Historical Association.
- Mr. Patrick Whelan - Yale graduate, Mr. Whelan is a high school history teacher who co-authored the Kaplan review book for AP World History and is a consultant to the CollegeBoard for AP World History.
- Mr. Bernie Yanelli - Mr. Yanelli graduated from Trinity College and is also a high school history teacher. He brings years of experience in the corporate business world both domestically and abroad.
- Ms. Cindy Addison - Graduate of the University of Florida Honors College, Ms. Addison is an educator and technology instructor.
- Mr. Ted Allen - Harvard graduate, Mr. Allen is an educator and nationally-recognized student advocate.
- Ms. Kathleen Addison - Yale University student, Ms. Addison served as co-founder and inaugural managing director of History Heard
